Hi D and L! I will correct my Xanga to reflect UC Hastings. :) Thanks for visiting my site...let Derek know that a red egg and ginger party is hosted usually by the grandparents of the bride or grooms parents. It's at a Chinese banquet restaurant or Chinese buffet lunch place usually. It's usually a lunch. The serve dyed eggs colored red (pink) and sweet ginger. The egg represents fertility and the ginger represents fire I think. :) The baby is passed around and wears a Chinese baby outfit of some sort. Guests and relatives bring presents or money I believe. :)
